4 mm. body exactly. I've found it on my white car near Acequias (Granada, S Spain). March 30, 2012.

Simulium female. Lots of species and subgenera in Europe. Local experts may recognize the markings, most Simuliidae are dull brown to blackish.

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
