Many thanks Gabor !!!  If I remember well my university cursus, Chironomidae, if they are abundant, are not a good sign for water quality ? Or are they usually met in big rivers, independent of water quality ? Thanks !!  |

Many species are sensitive to pollution, some tolerate pollution. Some are very abundant in polluted water bodies. |

So what is called in french "indice biotique" (Biotic indice ?) should identify water larvae to species level to qualify water quality ?
