Looks very interesting (hairy eyes, strong facial ridge bristles but not looking like Pales etc.) but I would need a specimen Smile

I was thinking about Aplomyia confinis, that I saw in the same place last year at the beginning of April. It was Theo's ID. Looks very similar but I don't know the real ID features of that species Angry Sad

After checking some details with Peter Tschorsnig I am satisfied that this is Chetogena mageritensis, a fairly rare species that seems to be restricted to Central/Southern Spain (Mesnil mentions Morocco too). It can be locally common in early Spring if you are lucky enough to stumble upon a colony Smile
