I took some photos of this gorgeous flowers and at home I saw, that there are some visitors on the blossom. I took the pic today in Bavaria. Your visitor is a non-biting midge (Chironomidae). |

Probably Orthocladiinae, the common subfamily in early spring. As far as I know Chironomidae have no flower preferences, but there has been little study. For many years they were thought not to feed as adults. |
