I found this species on the Thailand Island of Koh Samui on 2 August 2011, in secondary vegetation near forest. Could someone identify this species for me. I hope I have the family correct.

Dear Jezebel, Very nice picture on Diptera-info of Hexatoma (Eriocera) spec. belonging to the nepalensis group sensu Edwards, 1921. Further identification failed so far (I checked about 40 descriptions later than 1921). See http://nlbif.eti.uva.nl/ccw/ for more details on this species.
