I found this species on the Thailand Island of Koh Samui on 19 January 2009, in secondary vegetation near forest. Could someone identify this species for me. I hope I have the family correct. Sorry, my first post, and am having trouble uploading the photo, despite following the instruction in FAQ. I will keep on trying! This is of the family Tipulidae, a member of the genus Pselliophora. Species identification would need quite some time (no keys, checking many descriptions). All the best Pjotr |
