After looking at a lot of pictures of fly body parts, I am wondering if this might be a Euparyphus sp.? I am basing that mostly on the slender, annulate antenna that seem to have no arista, or a very small one not visible in the photo. Those two scutellar spines are much bigger than anything I have found in on-line photos... --Stephen Stephen Cresswell www.americaninsects.net |

Many thanks to Martin Hauser, who said "Very likely a male of Diaphorostylus sp."
