Hello!

Is it possible to get a closer ID for this Sylvicola sp.? It was rather small, only about 5 mm. At light in garden, northwest Germany.

The three widely spaced veins from the distal end of the discal cell put it in subgenus Sylvicola.

Thank you, John! In my checklist there are only 5 Sylvicola-Species listed for Germany (all other Anisopodidae are from subfamily Mycetobiinae): S. cincta, fenestralis, fuscata, limpida and punctata (no indication of subgenus in list).

The key is here but you probably need a male in hand to use it. http://www.online...p?key_no=1

I will try to fix the messages this month. We have to make some other configuration changes before software goes out of support at end of year.
