Another quite similar fly to the ones posted, but look somewhat sturdier. I have only a dorsal view.

Chorisops tibialis - dark post-alar calli and strongly thickened hind tibia. The pale humeri are similar to those of Chorisops nagatomii, though - tibialis 95%!

Ch. nagatomii flew earlier in the summer, and was much more brightly coloured. Thx for your help.

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
