Key to terrestrial crane-fly larvae (Diptera, Limoniidae, Pediciidae) of Russia.
N.P.Krivosheina, M.G. Krivosheina. Moscow. KMK. 2011. 295 p. In Russian with English summary, keys in English. You can find it on the site of Pensoft Publishers.

The book represents the first review on the larvae of crane-flies (Diptera: Limoniidae, Pediciidae) of Russia. The original materials on soil-inhabiting, xylobiontic and mycobiontic larvae were got during prolonged work in expeditions. Terrestrial larvae are discussed mainly in this work but some of well studied hydro- and hygrobiontic groups are included in keys also. The keys to subfamilies of Pediciidae and Limoniidae, 7 tribes and 16 genera and to species are worked out and are based on new morphological characters. The data on the biology of more than 25 genera and 60 species of larvae are discussed. The book contains more than 500 figures and 20 photos. Keys to subfamilies, genera and species are translated in English and given in supplement as well as the list of latin names of insects. Figures’ legends are given in Russian and in English. Recommended for specialists in ecology, soil zoology, lectors and students of Universities.
