As far as I understand it, the separation of the lateral spots makes it likely to be A. pluvialis but, because the extent of the black markings is quite variable in all these species, you can never be certain without a microscopic examination of the genitalia. |

I may well be too cautious. But I think uncertainty is a very healthy condition, to be preserved whenever the evidence permits. ![]() I really don't know whether individuals with separated spots ever turn out to be other than pluvialis (especially in the south of Spain!) It's at least worth a 'cf'
