Photograph taken on January 21, 2012, in the wetlands of the Suárez Pond, Motril, Granada, Spain.
Immediate area of the Mediterranean coast.
Approximate size, no antennae or tails 8-9 mm

I think in the Pollenia, it is very difficult to reach species. Having the insect, could you come to identify the species.?

The lower calypter seems very strongly infuscated for amentaria. Are there southern European species in which this is normal?
