Hello, this photo is from last april from a coastland in southeast Sicily. Some weeks ago I had another photo from this place, which was identified as Nemotelus nigrifrons. Is this too N. nigrifrons? Thanks, Michael Michael Becker attached the following image: ![]() [23.94Kb] |

Sorry, this view is not really sufficient to reliably separate nigrifrons from pantherinus. For example, male pantherinus has white markings above the antennae, male nigrifrons patches of silvery white hairs. From this picture I cannot tell for certain whether this specimens has spots or patches of silvery white hairs (though I am inclined towards the latter).
