On my amateur site I have a collection of species simply called Lucilia sp. But looking at the two pictures below something strikes me as odd. The curve in the vein (I do not know the scientific name of the particular vein, alas) differs. In the upper picture it is a stright curve, in the bottom picture there is a less stright curve (a wave so to speak). Am I right in concluding the upper picture is of a Lucilia species and the bottom picture is a Neomyia? Or do the experts here hold another view regarding my green stuff?
