Thank you E. ciliata = brevicornis, isn't it ? According to FaEu, only ciliata and parva in Belgium (like in the Netherland, according to Paul's checklist). So, if I can exclude parva (can I ?), there's a good chance that it's really ciliata. Éric Eric Steckx |

Egle ciliata and Egle brivicornis are different species. Both belong to the Egle brevicornis species group (Revision of European Egle; Zootaxa 2043, 2009 from V. Michelsen)I study the genus Egle right now for the Netherlands and found already 4 new species and i expect to find E. brevicornis also this year. I think we have the same situation for Belgium and probable many unknown species can be found also, so we can't rule out E. brevicornis. Edited by javanerkelens on 22-12-2011 23:19 |
