I have this old picture (september 1972) of a fly on the window of an house in val d'Ayas (Aosta, northern Italy). Body length if I remember correctly 3-4 mm.

Looks like Palloptera ephippium (in Toxoneura according to some).

Thanks. In this case following the key of the old Seguy it is possible to get the same result; but without a visual confirmation I am never sure of having chosen always the correct alternative. And it looks like there are no other images of this fly in the net.
What can I do to submit the image for the gallery?
