Chen Young IDed this as Tipula (Tipula). We have two species introduced in America, T. paludosa and T. oleracea. My understanding is the shot of the antennae should distinguish. Is that swollen basal flagellomere one segment or two partially fused? This one male appeared on December 5, well after the normal flight season. ![]() ![]() ![]()
