Indeed Anthomyiidae With relative short prealar, occiput with yellowish hairs, hind tibia with 2 av and genital ventrally projecting, i think Pegomya tabida could make a good change, but i only miss the 2 ad on the midtibia. Good photo! It is a member of the Pegomya tabida species group which has about 9 species in the Nearctic. This is indicated by the profile of sternite V which is projecting downwards. Unfortunately it is almost impossible to recognise from a photo, as the defining characters are mainly in the genitalia. It would be interesting to have a specimen as some of this group were only recently described by Griffiths in Nearctic Flies. |
