Wow, Sphaerophoria as a Dragonfly! I thought this one was going to be showing a Damselfly marked-up as a Dragonfly as has been shown before (one clinging-on to a blade of grass shown from below). These things happen the world-over. London's Insects http://londoninve...hostia.com |

Moreover, the caterpillars on the flower are not caterpillars but sawfly larvae...

I can see the headlines now ... "STOP PRESS: Article in British newspaper is proven to have inaccuracies!!". Surely not, a British newspaper publishing an article without first making sure of their facts? I don't believe it EDIT: Just noticed ... it's the "Daily Fail", say no more then

Even with misidentifications in more serious articles there is no 'Stopp The Presses' option, let alone the possibility of finding the original press release to see how the misidentification may have arisen or to have it corrected.
