Hello all,

Here is a diptera photographed at Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada, near Vermont, USA in July.

This fly is from the Conopidae family but I'm hesitating for the genus and species.

Can you please help me to identify it?

Thank you very much,

Michel
Quebec, Canada

I have little expertise in Nearctic Conopidae. But to me this is a Physocephala sp.

Greets,

Ectemnius

Thank you very much Ectmnius.

It will then be Conopidae sp as I learn that we can't detect the difference between Physocephala and Physoconops without looking at the rear legs.

Cheers,

Michel
