Dorsal view of Ephydridae is not easy to determine. In this case if I see (and it is really so) - spots of wing not contacting veins and not perfectly round but of irregular form - then it maybe Philygria stictica (Meigen, 1830).![]() |

Cranefly, Unexpted identification of this species. Sure that Philygria stictica must be one of the few by photo identificable ephydrid flies. ![]() Thanks for your kind help, Cranfly. |
