At light. Massachusetts, USA September 6, 2010.

I think these are Erioptera. Lines in first picture are 1/4 inch (~6 mm) apart.

Thanks. I found a regional key and these must be Erioptera septemtrionis. The brown blur under segment 5(+/-) of the abdomen of the female was IDed for me as a mite of genus Cheiroseius. It is visible also as a few legs sticking out in the first picture.
