I collected this male fly on 25 june in Belgium, Haute de Fagne. I keyed it out as Campiglossa loewiana/plantaginis. Examination of genitals required to be sure of the species?![]() ![]() |

No. C. plantaginis can be readily differentiated from its bigger size and less contrasted wing pattern (as well as from usually reddish yellow body). So, this is C. loewiana. Take a look at John Smit's note about C. solidaginis (I believe you keyed it by means John's book)
