Phaonia halterata(female) is the correct name? Thank you very much. Slovak Republik, Terchová region on the Malá Fatra, approximately 700 m above sea level 21.07.2011.

The lower calypter is projecting beyond the upper one, and the disc of the scutellum isn't bare, so you are probably right Stephen, genus Hydrophoria.
