 Can any one suggest a family for this fly?
Malaise trap, Townsville, Queensland.

 Not 100% positive, but looks like Stratiomyidae, possibly near Microchrysa.

 Maybe the same species as last month's fly, http://www.dipter...d_id=42028, whatever that is.

 Thanks John. Yes I think you are correct. What I thought was a withered look from the freezer is quite natural, as this is fresh from the trap. Well sclerotised for a fly too.
