Hybotidae: Tachydromiinae. Platypalpus-ish, but I am not familiar with all Australian genera in the subfamily.

Thanks Paul. Looking at my catalogue I had requested an ID for a similar fly and the genera was Elaphopeza sp. |

That's possible although the postpronotal lobes (humeri) appear to be developed in this specimen and that should not be the case in the Drapetini, where elaphropeza belongs. Perhaps a trick of the light, though.
