Anyone familiar with this genus? The fly was photographed on Sept. 30, 2011 in Los Padres National Forest, Monterey County, California: Lat. 36.09335, Lon. -121.41844. Fly was near stream working rock surface.
Specimen length about 3mm.
Unusually long arista and projection on lower face.

The ornamented arista is typical for Ludovicius (now Sybistroma), but the genus is not present in North America.
