Hi ! First post to a great forum ... Photo from my garden in the south of Sweden, 2 oct 2011. Body length ca 5-7 mm. Is it possible from this photo to make an ID ? If it is another species, i would appreciate to know what character in the photo that is distinctive. Thank you in advance for your support. It is Scathophaga stercoraria. Compare e.g. bristles on thorax, legs and the bristles along the costa, Coenosia tigrina is a totally different species. Niels |
