Yes, it's a female anthomyiid. Can you see whether the arista is plumose? If yes, it should be Hylemya vagans. |

Hello Stephen, It is impossible to see it from the picture, but the fly looks like Hylemya vagans. If we make it Hylemya cf vagans, I think it's OK...? Thank you very much for your reaction!! Regards, Hedy |

To be pedantic, I suppose the cf should come before Hylemya - but I don't think the sky will fall in if we just leave it out ![]() |
