Hi,
First I have to apologize for posting pics of so poor quality - I'm really sorry. Before I could find the right focus and exposure, the fly was gone. Nevertheless I'd like to know what I had missed. The only idea I have is Cordilura albipes, Sarcophagidae. This species seems to be very variable as to body colour. A rather similar fly was posted here: http://diptera.in...d_id=26569 but got no confirmation. So can somebody help me, please?
Many thanks, Sundew

Thanks, Paul - what a surprisingly variable colouration!
