This is the only picture I managed to take of this character, but I hope it's enough to tell what it is...

Taken in the outskirts of Gij�n, N Spain, on September the 10th, 2011. It was sat on a wall in an open area with fields and houses.

Sorry to be so late thanking you, Theo, I've been too busy.

So, it's Calliphora vicina! So I thought when I spotted it, but in the picture looked too slim and long-legged to my amateur eyes, I've only just started to take pictures of flies this year, and I know still too little about them! Sad
