I am not sure but I think the cranefly in my picture is Tipula fascipennis. Am I correct, please?

Not Tipulidae..Looks like Mycetophilidae or Keroplatidae, maybe some Orfelia sp...just guessing though.
Wing markings look similar to ;

Thank you, Roger, for pointing out that it is not a Tipula. I agree that the wing markings look similar to the Orfelia sp. in your link but it seems that it's going to be difficult to obtain a specific ID.

I do have another photo of the same insect which shows more clearly the head and thorax but I'm not sure how far it will get me. I am posting a copy of the photo in case it might be helpful.

Thank you for any further comments that may be forthcoming.
