These two flies were photographed in Bulgaria by Sally Hammond, one of the group who were with me there recently. I think they may be Anthrax sp and the two images may or may not represent the same species. I would be grateful if someone more experienced would advise whether I have the correct genus and if not advise on the correct one. Any suggestions as to the species involved would also be very gratefully received. Here is the first image |
