Photograph taken on August 03, 2011, in terrace housing in urban areas in Motril, Granada, Spain.
Immediate area of the Mediterranean coast.
Approximate size, no antennae or tails <2 mm

@Jorge: Are you certain about this? There are a few look-a-likes in the genus Desmometopa.
It would be nice if Irina could have a look at these pictures.

I would need to see the palpus and gena to be sure, but comparing with http://diptera.in...d_id=41564 I would say this is a male of Desmometopa varipalpis.

P.S. Sorry, I just don't have the time to check diptera.info more frequently, but I am looking forward to getting a notice/email if you need my expertise.

I am very grateful for your participation and support. I have no knowledge to identify and your opinion is very important to me.
