I can understand Stephane's suggestion, but I think the dusting on the tergites in rubescens is difficult to see from this angle. Western France is hardly a place for a strict mountaious species as prompta Any picture from behind might settle this. Theo |

In fact, the ground is ... 5 m above the sea level ... and it is nearby (1 or 2 km norther) a huge marsh called "La Brière" which is about ... 1 to 3 m in altitude ! ![]() So, indeed, absolutely no mountains here !! ![]() Many thanks !! ![]() |

Well, dusting is best seen obliquely from behind, this might be too perpendicular. So I still think this might very well be P. rubescens, which would make more sense. But proof it is not. Theo |
