I photographed this Tipulidae in a meadow in the north-east of Portugal on the 11th of May of this year.
I believe it is a female Nephrotoma sp. - could someone please confirm the genus for me?
I know it is difficult to identify Tipulidae only from a photograph but if anyone has an idea as to the species that would be great too.
Thanks in advance.

Looks like Nephrotoma indeed. For species ID, sideways views of head, thorax and abdomen in close up would come in handy.

Thanks a million for confirming the genus - unfortunately I didn't manage to get a side view, but I'll know for next time that it's important in determinging the species.
Thanks again!
