In the White Mountains of New Hampshire, USA July 27, 2011. Dolichopodinae, possibly Gymnopternus is my ID. He fluttered his wings. She stood still. He mounted her for a second then flew away. Here is another fly from the same area. There were many Dolichopodidae on leaves. Possibly they were the same species.![]() |
