Photographed in mountain area (600 meters above sealevel), in Bodø, northern Norway. Date is 06.07.2011. Size around 10 mm. Guess it's Asilidae, but rarely see this type of flies.

I think this is Therevidae - not Asilidae ... note that it doesn't have a stout forward-pointing proboscis
