This is my first Cixiidae (I suppose)... Somebody can tell me genus and if possible, species?

2nd July 2011.
Arnes, Castellon, east Spain. Mediterranean montane forest (dense Pinus halepensis qith some Quercus ilex, Arbutus unedo, Pistacia lentiscus and terebinthus, Smilax aspera, etc). Very near a crystalline river, in Typha and other sedges. Size about 4 mm.

if you have a closer image of upperside of thorax, we can perhaps see mesonotal carinae, if three, it belongs to Cixiini tribe, if five, to Pentastrini.

Thanks Penti! Then you're sure that is Cixius cunicularius, right?

I think your species is an other Cixius sp. For comparison with Cixius cunicularius see following addresses http://www.insektengalerie.de/gleichfluegler/cixius_cunicularius.html
