Hi, In Niederthai (Austria, Tyrol, 1.500 m) in last August I saw several flies with incomplete rows of acrostichal setae and a wing venation that allowed for a Muscid or a Calliphorid. These two, I guessed, might be male and female of Protophormia terranovae (Calliphoridae), but I am awfully uncertain escpecially as to the male. Help is greatly appreciated! Many thanks, Sundew Here is the male: Sundew attached the following image: ![]() [150.13Kb] Edited by Sundew on 04-07-2011 00:08 |
