µear Pentii, This is definitely Dolichopus plumipes, recognized by the plumose mid tarsus and distinguished from the two other species with this male secondary sexual character (MSSC) by the hind tibia which is infuscated at its apex, and the slightly but distinctly darker yellow legs (both D. wahlbergi and D. polleti have pale yellow legs). Also, the mid tibia shows a dorsal dark brown strike, absent in both other species. Cheers, Marc |
