Given that Kokkola is coastal, one should maybe look out for the very similar M. desmometopa, it would be nice to have some photos of it one here. Mark |

The easiest way to distinguish desmometopa from lupulina is that the black at the posterior margin of the scutellem does not extend onto the surface of the scutellum in desmometopa.
