Hi, This weekend I watched a lot of Empis males with their prey in a Brandenburgian agricultural landscape. They gathered in the evening sun with their caught flies and moths and seemed to enjoy their community. One female sat apart (upper pic). I suppose all belong to the same species, which should be E. livida. Can this be confirmed or corrected? Many thanks, Sundew Sundew attached the following image: ![]() [155.41Kb] |

Correct. Top one is female, all others are males.
