Tachinidae (?) from Vorarlberg / Austria

Hello, This picture was taken some days ago in the Rhine Valley (Vorarlberg, Austria). I think, the animal belongs to the family Tachinidae, but I have no idea, which species it might be. Perhaps anybody can help me. best wishes Georg dorobirar attached the following image: ![]() [59.35Kb] |

That's no Tachinid - wing venation doesn't match. Might be a Coenosia (Muscidae). BTW - welcome to the forum! Try to get photos from different angles; especially for Tachinid ID it is important to see all leg bristles, bristles on the scutellum, mouth parts etc. Edited by Sundew on 17-06-2011 15:25 |
