Must admit i thought initially this was Sarcophagidae but closest thing in the gallery seems to be Anthomyiidae: Eustalomyia species. Taken yesterday South coast Uk guessing about 13mm body length Brian v. ![]() |

Looks good! From Michael's key I think it's either E. festiva or E. histrio. The anteroventral setae on the hind tibia should tell you which - the former has seven, the latter twelve. Also festiva has the arista (short-)haired, whereas in histrio it is only pubescent.
