Hi to all! I reared this crane fly from the larva which has been found on May 21 in soil in Moscow region, Russia. Imago left the pupa on June 1. I hope it's possible to define this species from these photos: http://www.flickr...774178305/ Thanks in advance! Kolya |

I'd say female of Nephrotoma crocata. However, I am by far no Tipulidae expert! |

Thank you very much! I'm no Tipulidae expert too, but at least my specimen is very similar to the photos of N. crocata from Internet. |

No doubt, it is Nephrotoma crocata |
