7.5 mm, Arncliffe Yorkshire UK, 5 June 2011 I found this in a moribund state indoors. Gregor's key leads me to H. impuncta, but according to the description the fronto-orbital plates should be touching. The paired spots on t2&3 look strong when lit from behind, but less so in the photo. I couldn't get much reassurance from the genitalia, but they look as close to H. impuncta as to any of the other spp. illustrated. I think about Helina impuncta too, but can't confirm, as I have too less experience (I'm just interested) Very common at the moment here too. Regards, Niels. |

This is an odd one. As far as I know, with prst acr., it can only be Helina impuncta or Helina quadrata (rarely in H. lasiophthalma one can find 1-2 elongated prst acr.). With 1+2 ks and bare eyes, I can't see anything exept H. impuncta. Stephane. |
