A male Muscid (?) from the light in our garden (northwest Germany) last week. About 6-7 mm.

Thank you, Niels! But that would be a very small specimen. I know P. valida as one of the biggest Muscidae here, around 12 mm.

 This is not Phaonia valida. I am not even sure it is a Phaonia. Eyes are hairy ?
