tiny and shiny - Dolichopodidae

Hi, Yesterday I came across this tiny Dolichopodid running on leaves of Humulus lupulus (hop). It recalls Chrysotus a bit but does not fully match the pictures I have of that genus. So I would like to ask for help again. Many thanks, Sundew Sundew attached the following image: ![]() [153.77Kb] |

You are right, it is certainly a Chrysotus, a female unfortunately, which are harder to identify. It looks as if it has the 1st flagellomere enlarged but as I don't have good view on the trochanters, I don't like to guess which species you are dealing with. |

Many thanks, Marc - no chance to see the minute trochanters... Till now I knew only Chrysotus laesus that looked more bluish-green and not thus golden. This one may remain Chrysotus spec. |
