Seen 13 may 2011 this rather hairy Dilophus in beechforest undergrowth of mainly Alliaria petiolata. location Veluwe The Netherlands. Can not figure out what species it is.

I can imagine you are dumbfounded trying to identify this Dilophus, because it is Empis ciliata.
